Exams are finally done and dusted with man! There’s soooooo many things that I wanna do right now but I only have 2 weeks of the holidays to myself! I am having 2 separate camps in the last 2 weeks before I start school all over again. Oh shudders… how great a news can that be? I wanna camp overnight at East Coast Park, kick some balls on the field and clay court, get my butt over to Sentosa for some fun and sun… too many to list lah!!

Darn it.

Last Friday was quite eventful I should say. Yijin proved that she doesn’t need a four-leaf clover to be lucky. She actually stumbled upon a $10 note when we were walking around in Peninsula Plaza to search for a Manchester United’s jersey.

And of course it’s for her dear boyfriend. As for the $10, she was unsure what to do with it. We all believed that we should either donate the money that we found or spend it on something.Bottomline is, we ain’t gonna keep it. At first it was to be spent on McFlurry ice-creams for each and everyone of us but then some genius struck the idea of getting something from Ben & Jerry’s instead…

… and it was pretty amazing how our faces lighted up in unison.

We went over to the outlet at Raffles City which has it’s basement level totally dedicated to food-lovers. Heh. Elf and me were being made the butt of the jokes as soon as we settled down at B&J. Of all topics, it had to be the on peeing and urinating and… you get the idea. Blame the new fountain therelah! Wah lau.. go there and see for yourself to know why. =D

The problem with sharing among 5 people is that everyone wants to have what they want but they would have to compromise so much so that they don’t get what they want but get what everyone wants instead. Except that there’s one problem - we chose a 4-flavoured one.

So you can imagine the “I WANT THIS!! NO, I WANT THIS!! DON’T WANT LAH!! I WANT THIS LAH!!” commotion happening at the counter. Oh, did I mention that the girl who serve us is kinda… attractive? Whoops. She was very patient right to the point when we had another mini-commotion about the topping, whether to get peanuts or not. Luckily Elf did the right thing by choosing chocolate rice. =)

No, I didn’t take part in the little, little squabbles. Which was why I was able to observe the ’surroundings’. Heheheh.

We had Phish Food, Cookie Dough, Mudslide and Mango Sorbet, which happens to be my favourite! No no, it BECAME my favourite. It’s the first time I had those B&J flavours.Tsk . Maybe ’cause the flavour is different from the others and is quite refreshing. It’s a sorbet anyway, so it’s kinda smoother and and not ice-cream-like.

A few scoops into my mouth and a familiar feminine figure came into B&J. She looks like Carrie Chong - the back view, the side view… except that I didn’t get to see the front view. Her face I mean. Then she suddenly turned around ’cause I think my friends and I were making hell lot of a noise all out of a sudden and flashed this wide and friendly smile.

Luckily I was sitting down. If was standing up, my legs would have jelly-fied so badly that I’d sat on the floor. It is indeed CARRIE CHONG!!! One of my favourite Perfect 10 deejays around and boy, she’s hot. She looks even more gorgeous in person. Plus that sweet personality and humble, girl-next-door-kinda feeling that she gives you.Gaaaaaahhhh…

It wasn’t the first time I saw her but I don’t mind seeing her everyday though. HAHAHAHA!!! I’m getting crazy here…

Maybe it’s because of this podcast too, which is giving me stomach cramps everytime I hear it.

Perhaps we really don’t need a 4-leaf clover to be lucky after all…

National Day yesterday was havoc, especially spending it with Haikal, Herwan, Shodikin, Mike, Farhan and Ridzwan. Herwan wanted to see some ‘chicks’ but when we got down at Orchard, there were none! Haha! Poor him.. but at least he got to buy the tops that he want at TOPSHOP together with Shodikin. Kerchiing!!!

If you happen to be at town, and crave for a plate of chicken rice, go to Lucky Plaza’s 6th floor. There you will see a humble little stall in front of the arcade. But don’t be fooled by its mediocre appearance. The food there is shiok ah! At $3.50 a plate, and I really mean a big plate, it’s really worth every single cent that you pay. And don’t forget to lick your fingers after you finished your meal! And yes, I really mean lick.

There was ample time to spare so we set off walking from Orchard to the Esplanade, where we intend to catch the fireworks at. I still can’t get into my head the fact that Ridzwan is kinda slow, mind-wise. He’d laugh at a joke that we cracked 5 minutes ago and when we all have moved on to another random topic that’s worth gossiping about.

The journey seemed short with all the crap and laughter that we shared till the growing sight of mats and minahs made us realised that we are nearing Marina Square already. Somehow, they like to hang out at MS and Esplanade there. I don’t understand why ’cause they aren’t exactly arts people but just attention-seekers who spoils the nice mood there. Drats.

Somehow, the numbers seem to multiply by don’t-know-how-many-fold when we reached the Esplanade there. Whooaa!! In every direction that you turn, there will be mats and minahs! Lots of them! Oh gosh… we had to spare our eyes and head somewhere else, from which we head off to the Sky Garden at Suntec City which we were oh-so-confident of catching the fireworks from.

Very gay sia.. 7 guys go Sky Garden. Luckily we are straight, are we?

There was still a few minutes to go before the spectacular display of fireworks sparks off, no pun intended, thus we tuck into our not-so-hearty meal of sweets and gums. You know those sour ones that sells at $2/100 grams at 7-11? We bought $8 worth of them. But still not enough leh, I only licked and sucked ate a few pieces.

We look like drug addicts from with the dark background and all. But I swear we were consuming sweets! There’s a 7-11 plastic bag in the picture if you look carefully. Heheh.

Fireworks, fireworks! Where art thou? We have been waiting the whole day for this historical moment to happen! Ridzwan and Farhan were so impatient that they kept looking to the skies, just in case, even when taking photos. Rilek ah brudders!

Still no fireworks in sight and we were getting impatient. And our drugs have gotten the better of some of us already. Out came the mp3 players and handphones playing all the jiwang songs. Thanks Wan! If not for you, I wouldn’t have appreciated those rock-never-die Malay songs. They are better than those kental ones nowadays. At least they are of true stories and are sung with emotion. Then finally.. BANGBOOMBANGBOOMBANGBOOM!!!

We were so kan chiong after being caught offguard by it! But there’s nothing in the skies…except the skies! Then we realised that our view was blocked by the freaking Suntec City Towers. So much for our (over)confidence that we will get the best view! The last fireworks and we didn’t wanna miss it man! Aaaahhhh!!

We ran and ran round the towers till we got to a spot where we saw a group of people crowding and looking up to the skies. “Here! Here! Here can see!” We tried to console ourselves that we missed the small ones. NDP saved the best for the last for us.

5 minutes later, our heads still held high with smiles on our faces.

5 minutes after that, our anticipation died down. Regret soon followed but hopes were not dashed.

5 minutes after that last 5 minutes, Mike called his sister to which she answered, “Eh, I’m exiting the stadium already leh. No more fireworks! Finish already!”

HEART PAIN SIA.

Upon hearing that, we found ourselves at McDonald’s in 10 minutes to have supper. Really, the way to a man’s heart is through the stomach. So lesson learnt today. A painful but memorable one - next time wanna catch fireworks, just bear with the mats and minahs.

We came back with a souvenir for the day though. A picture ala photshoot at Taka there! Hahaha! But hey, it’s nice. =)

The aftermath of Good Friday, or rather a public holiday…

It started off with a game of pool over at Lucky Plaza-I still suck at it-after which seeds of narcissism starts to grow in us. Then we started producing amatuer ‘music videos’ using Haikal’s Walkman phone which reminded me of the infamous ‘Tammy NYP’ clip.

That Haikal, he just can’t stop taking self-portaits can he? I think he’s worse than any other camwhores that I know. But at least I know he got the looks to show for unlike majority of others. Perhaps that’s one good reason why I don’t take self-portraits… that much.

We dropped over at Heeren’s ADIDAS shop and got a chance to play FIFA on XBOX360! Gosh… I swear that the graphics were superb, nothing like what I’ve seen before in my whole entire life! And no, the plasma screen did not play much of a role in making the graphics look totally outta this world.

If only I can get my hands on this baby…

Later in the evening, we went over to the NIKE shop at Cineleisure. There, I realised that I’m split for choice. You see, I wanna get myself a new pair of street soccer shoes and both ADIDAS and NIKE came out with new designs in conjunction with the World Cup that’s gonna be held in June. My last 2 pairs were of ADIDAS ones and of course, I would like to get a taste of NIKE’s.

My personal favourite? The white pair from the ADIDAS series. A bit contradicting lah hor! My birthday is around the World Cup season so.. urm.. yeah.. *ehemcoughehem*

School’s starting next week already. So fast time flies, at least for now when the school reopening date nears.

I wanna push myself up to gear 5 and study hard for the upcoming semester. After which I can excel in my studies and have my face up in the Honours’ Roll.

I shall slack a bit here and there. I mean I’m not Honours’ Roll material lah. Graduating with 40-odd distinctions and a few Bs and no Cs or Ds at all?!?! It’s just not me lahh…

Damn those medicines that I got. For once, it seems that the pharmacist who tended to me doesn’t seem to be lying. She advised me, “This medicine may cause drowsiness lah hor.” And I took her words for granted for everytime, I don’t visit the doctor that frequently anyway, the side effects of the medicines doesn’t seem to work on me.

As soon as I popped in all the different types of medicine, I began to feel sleepy. NOT DROWSY! So much so that I slept through from 7pm to 9pm! And it caused me to miss this week’s “So you think you can dance?” episode! ARGH! I felt cheated my the medicine…

Tablets for running nose, paracatemol, cough mixture and my favourite, the one for sore throat where you just suck. Yummy for something you call ‘medicine’! But still, where’s my cure for my phlegm doc? I just don’t see the link between my sickness and the medicines that you prescribed me!

Flashback to last Saturday…

This is what we got John for his birthday.

It looks crude but it ain’t what you think it is. It’s actually a dildo an ashtray for our dear friend who puffs his way to happiness. It can be used as a sex toy actually but it is certainly not advisable under the guidlines of the Ministry of Sex. Too big, and therefore… waaaaaay to scary to even be imagined how it can live up to its name of a ’sex toy’.

People nowadays are getting more creative by the day. And I’m impressed, really. ’cause I have a secret fetish for these kinda funky stuffs. Haha, alright that sounds off but still, my point is that I have a preference for those out-of-the-box stuffs. They are like a form of art which is still practical for general usages. Drop down to the shop by the name of ‘Molecule’ and you’ll get what I mean here. And hell yeah, they rock!

I just realised that we didn’t sing him a “Happy Birthday” song. Never mind. A picture, as they say, says a thousand words. I hope a few of those words read, “Happy Birthday, John”.

p.s. we currently have 2 squad members who forced themselves to be camera-shy and hide themselves behind the bench. Apparently, they seem to have committed some kind of offence and thus would not like to be photographed.
