If you like Ong Bak or Tom Yum Goong, or watch The Contender series religiously then I don’t see why you wanna miss Chocolate. What a title for a fighting movie eh? But you’ll know why if you watch it.

The thing I like about the show - it’s real, no stunt doubles. I really salute Jeeja Yanin who plays the character Zen. Her moves are so out-of-this-world that I thought I was watching Street Fighter for a moment.

At the end of the show, they screened the making of the movie which consists of blood, blood and more blood. Occasionally there were bandages and bruises, and at one point… a broken neck. Practically every fighting scene in the movie got someone injured but it goes on to show how real the whole thing is.

The thing that I don’t like about the show - it’s really like playing Street Fighter! The villains seemed to have a life bar and will continue to fight Zen till they were really knocked out. And there were some, what I’d like to call the ‘Bosses of the Villains’ who have better fighting skills and were able to inflict some damage to Zen. They too never seem to pass out.

Then Zen would finally fight the Big Boss with some kick-ass (literally) combo that would have certainly gained her a lot of EXP points. Whoops, sorry… played too much games already.

But it was good foreign film though with the Muay Thai actions making up for the decent storyline. Thanks Babe for the recommendation!

And in the midst of the show, perhaps you’d find Zen a little similar to Jackie Chan along the lines of doing their own stunts and the way they fight off the bad guys.

On the sidenote, I find her irresistibly cute.

Plus she has got this bad streak behind her feminine side. What a sucker punch.
