Exactly one week ago…
I saw my mum being so proud of me for the first time in my life. She never said it but somehow she showed it. Quite blatantly I guess. She went on to laminate my cert for it to be put into a booklet, have another copy to be placed in a plague and ordered a large-sized photo of me shaking the Director’s hands. (Damn, I should have made an impromptu pose with him.)
It was certainly much more worth it than having a studio shot over at Serangoon Broadway which initially I don’t mind for a once-in-a-lifetime thingy, but the auntie’s hard-selling ticked me off. Sorry auntie, bad customer service = bad impression = no deal!
I felt bad though that she had to take a 45-min bus ride alone all the way from Dover back to Ang Mo Kio.

Then came this bunch of friends whom I was really close with for the past few years. One very sporting, one is very whiny, one is very blur, one is very demure… not exactly my cup of tea but I guess all is forgiven as they really add flavour to my poly life.
So the catching up session was a first for me at Essential Brew, but maybe a fourth or fifth for the rest? Blame bad timing and pure coincidence, I just couldn’t make it everytime. So this time I just couldn’t reject ’cause I don’t know when will be a much more suitable time for all of us to come together again.
Clique Media. Hah! Cheesy sia but it certainly lived up to its name well.

And the picture above had always stayed as a dream for me till it became reality one day. I really don’t expect to be together with a coursemate (people always say the grass is greener on the other side), much less graduate together with her. So the dream come true is really the crème de la crème for me.
It has been a long and arduous step-by-step journey for us but I very much like it this way. Now comes the part where we’d enter adulthood together. School is substituted with work; grades with money while the satisfaction still remains intact. Deadlines, reprimands, politics, slacking after work… some things just don’t change, do they?
The environment has now transformed 360 degrees for us but at the end of the day, I’m still holding on to this candle… the very same one that has lighted up my path thus far with each passing step.
