I’m a movie buff. But a poor one. So I’m pretty selective on what I watch on the big screens. I missed Iron Man btw. Heh, so much for a movie buff(alo) eh? No worries, the Internet works wonders.

So yesterday I went for a movie with Babe and we caught What Happens in Vegas. It is definitely better than Made of Honour, chick-flick-wise but personally I prefer the former. Maybe ’cause Cameron Diaz to me is like the hottest and sexiest woman middle-age woman and Ashton Kutcher’s body is just so hot lah!

But that aside the storyline was decent enough for me to enjoy. I’m a movie lover, not a movie critic. So my standard isn’t as high as those who claim the shots weren’t taken at the right angle blahblahblah Sometimes when you know less, you enjoy more and I prefer it that way for the time being.

There was still 3 hours more to kill before Babe get to meet her friends so the decision to watch yet another movie was kinda impromptu. Technically it became a mini movie marathon for us and The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian it was.

I remembered the first movie on Narnia because of the archer. She practised so hard but when the actual battle came, she only shot an arrow to kill a villain… and that’s about all. The second installment is much more darker, longer (2 hours plus worth of screenplay) and my favourite bit… funnier. What do you expect from the director of Shrek 1 and 2 eh?

The sarcasm and clever dialogues really caught us offguard. I expected a serious movie despite the cast being so young but we ended up laughing so much that it looked more and more like a comedy. But I’m not putting the movie down here! It’s a good addition to the story! A very much unexpected addition.

For someone who never liked Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings or any sci-fi films for that matter, I pretty much like Narnia! Definitely a must watch for anyone who has ran out of movies to watch lately.

And there’s one more reason to catch it…

Look out for his cheesy lines and moments with Susan (the archer. This time she shoots more arrows.)

When King Peter, Edmund and Queen Susan, Lucy and Prince Caspian walked together in a line, it very much looked like High School Musical!

I love good chick-flicks; I know they exist. But Narnia was really an unplanned surprise. Lucky for us, it made the marathon even nicer and now I’m looking forward to the next marathon!

Cmon, give me another installation of Harold & Kumar. No wait, Adam Sandler is in Zohan. Now that should be good!
