Lucky to be hearing him again

I’ve been awaiting his new album since I got sick of hearing people singing to I’m Yours everywhere. So when I finally got to hear his new collection, I’d say… some things just never change.

Don’t ask why he has such a weird album cover but I feel that it resembles him quite nicely - weird. One of my favourite tracks has to be Lucky which he collaborated with Colbie Caillat (I embedded it above). Soothing, meaningful, nice… and radio-friendly. So be prepared for it to be requested pretty often on the airwaves.

Some tracks have been given his trademark motormouth treatment and I particularly like those which he injects dry humour into them. This guy can practically sing his daily life and it’ll still sound nice!

And did you just realize what I just realized? It’s such a deja vu feeling that Jason did a song with Cobbie. Remember Tristan Prettyman? Cobbie is somewhat similar to Tristan isn’t she? She plays the guitar, has this humble aura except that maybe she doesn’t surf.

It’s such a strange coincidence that the chorus of Lucky has the phrase ‘Lucky I’m in love with my best friend…”.

So Mr A-Z, do you think you and Colbie Caillat are compatible with each other… you know, as a couple?

Mraz? I still prefer Tristan Prettyman. I can go goo-goo-ga-ga over her anytime.
