I was listening to the radio, as always every night, when the trailer for 987fm’s “New This Week” came on air. Usually I’ll hear new music, or rather those that I never heard of before, being played in this trailer. Occasionally, they are just old songs that seemed to be stuck in the DJ’s console.

Like how Rihanna’s Don’t Stop The Music, Umbrella and Hate That I Love You goes on national airwaves on a 3-weeks interval when the fact is that they all come from the same album.

But this week’s list of new songs was a shocker. First was a snippet of Mika’s Lollipop. Not literally though. Okay, he already had Big Girl (You Are Beautiful), Happy Ending and Grace Kelly so I can assume that people will be sick of his high-pitched voice if it comes on too often. I can close one eye on this.

The next tune strike a somewhat familiar tune that I hear almost every other day…

Love hurts, but sometimes it’s a good hurt
’cause it feels like I’m alive

Oh c’mon, gimme a break! Love Hurts was out eons ago and have been my message tone since last year! And it made to the airwaves just this week?

Just because Incubus is coming down next month huh?
