Laughing not because of mocking. I mean, I laughed too because it is one of those topics that you stay away for debates. It just won’t end right? Beliefs, reality, moral values yadayadayada
But that little conversation sparked me a little. Is there such a thing as ’sitting on the fence’ here? By right, no. No matter what your views are, you will sway to either extreme. Even when you don’t show it.
But by left it remains to be an option for those who wants to remain in the grey area and not stir up any wrong feelings or reaction, right?
Like I said in that little conversation, I don’t drink. But I would not say that I’m a pious guy. To back my statement up, I truthfully say that I don’t even perform my compulsory daily prayers regularly.
Yes, compulsory. Yet I don’t do it. Therefore I’m not pious.
But on the contrary, I don’t take drugs, solicit or consume alcohol. So I’m pious? Hell no. So where am I grouped? With the people who are also ’sitting on the fence’?
It defies logic, doesn’t it? When you are eating, it is either chicken rice or not. When you are breathing, it is either a yes or no. When are a Man Utd fan, it is either you root for Ferguson or not.
But I can’t speak the same when it comes to religion. I am not questioning my faith but more to the fact why I can’t sway to either extremes in this instance.
I can’t imagine myself going to mosques, reading the Quran all day long and performing other religious activities deemed angelic. Nor can I picture myself going around fucking girls and fill my life with cannabis or weed.
I am neither, so therefore I am ’sitting on the fence’?
Shucks, it really strike me hard eh?

You’re just being decent enough. ‘Cause somewhere inside, you do know the consequences of misdeeds etc, and you’re human after all- imperfect. No? As is the majority of us.
