When you are in a relationship in your teenage years, does it occur to you that your other half will one day finally upgrade her status and be your husband/wife?
Okay, that’s quite a duh question.
I have friends who had flipped through wedding magazines and chose their wedding gowns already. I guess even thinking of baby names isn’t that surprising either at this time and age. The boyfriend will choose a baby boy’s name and the girlfriend will choose the other. But usually the case is, the girlfriend will still choose the baby boy’s name and boyfriend has no choice but to agree. Else, he’ll face the repercussions.
But how confident are you that 5 or 7 years down the road, it’ll be the same him or her that attracted you in the first place? That you won’t be sick of seeing her (again) when you walk down the isle and tie the knot?
My salute goes to those who guarantee-plus-chop that they’re getting married after the guy goes through NS, get a stable job, a decent salary blahblahblah… Just don’t forget to invite me to your wedding banquet ![]()
But for those who still wanna play around, see if university guys/girls are cute/hot/sexy/handsome (delete where appropriate) or not, wanna see how a clubber guy differs from a guy-next-door…
Do you make empty promises when you are not confident of fulfilling them?
